Who are the Friends of Mitchell Conservatorium?

Equivalent to a school P&C, the ‘Friends’ committee is comprised of family members of students and interested supporters from the community from the four campus areas.

What is the role of the Friends group?

The Friends generously assists students by actively supporting our music teaching, performance, administration and workshop programs.

Fund raising is a large part of the annual work of the Friends.

How does the Friends group raise funds?

A small Family levy, (one per family), is collected on behalf of the Friends.

Replacing other fund raising activities, the levy is collected twice annually (GST incl.).

How does the Friends group use the funds raised?

MitCon Friends allocates family levy funds to assist the students by offering annual Scholarship and Bursaries to our students.

Can I become a Friend?

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join their local Friends group.

MitCon Friends for all campuses meet quarterly; please contact the secretary for the next meeting date.
